We are delighted to introduce a significant addition to the JustTikit – Richard Ford, our newly appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With an impressive career spanning over a decade, Rich brings a wealth of experience and expertise that promises to elevate JustTikit to new heights in the fields of technology and innovation.
A Leadership Journey
Rich’s venture into the tech realm commenced with a noteworthy role as a Project Coordinator, overseeing all IT, communications, and technical projects at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. This early experience laid the groundwork for his subsequent leadership roles.
During his seven-year tenure as the Head of IT at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, Rich demonstrated his prowess in managing data, telecoms, budgeting, and strategic development. Playing a pivotal role in shaping the club’s technological landscape, he oversaw technology for two physical sites and approximately 100 users, including educational facilities.
Rich then assumed the position of COO at City Taxis, a leading private hire taxi company in the UK, where he spearheaded the adoption of new technology, focused on enhancing customer service, and managed the operations of a company boasting over 2,000 vehicles.
As the CTO at Clarity Copiers Sheffield, Rich continued to showcase his commitment to technological advancement, contributing to the growth and success of the company through strategic technological initiatives.
Joining JustTikit
Now, Rich brings this wealth of experience to JustTikit as our Chief Technology Officer. We are confident that his leadership and innovative mindset will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our IT capabilities.
In Rich’s own words, “I’m excited to join JustTikit for many reasons. I have always seen the ticket as being the central component of a fan’s journey; it’s the key that unlocks the Stadium or Arena. How, when, and where that ticket is purchased and fulfilled, right through to it being handled by an access control layer on the day and the data being analyzed post-event, are intricate to the success of an event or match day. JustTikit has the desire to improve that fan and venue journey at its core, which is at the heart of their product ethos, for both the host and the attendee.”
